Central American Cichlid Salt™ is a chemically sound blend of salts designed to replicate the natural environment of Central American cichlids (e.g. Firemouth, Convict, nicaraguense, bifasciatum). It contains all physiologically essential elements such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, and potassium. It does not contain harmful or unnecessary ingredients such as nitrates, phosphates, arsenic, lithium, or cadmium. Use Seachem’s Central American Cichlid Trace™ to restore and maintain important trace elements such as iron, manganese and iodide.

Sizes: 250 mL, 500 mL, 2 L, 4 L, 20 L

DIRECTIONS: Use 4 caps (20 mL) for each 40 L (10 gallons*) when setting up an aquarium and when making water changes. If you know the exact General Hardness (GH) needed for your particular species, then note that 3 caps (15 mL) in 50 L (13 gallons*) will raise GH by 1 meq/L (3 dH). pH BUFFERING: Seachem’s Central American Cichlid Buffer™ (pH 7.0) should be used to adjust pH. TIPS: To add salt to an established tank, base dose on water being changed. Do not use salt when simply replacing evaporated water. (Note: The 2 & 4 L container’s cap is 10 mL).

Central American Cichlid Buffer™ is designed to enhance the natural environment of Central American cichlids by adjusting pH to 7.0 and maintaining it at 7.0. Central American Cichlid Buffer™ will also remove chlorine, chloramines and ammonia (commonly found in municipal water supplies).more...

Central American Cichlid Trace™ supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated to be necessary for proper fish health and growth. Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis.more...
