Multitest™ Marine pH & Alkalinity Support

Q: Why does your pH test kit read lower than my pH probe and some of the other test kits on the market?
A: If your reading is way off, check the supplied reference to make sure the reagents are working. If the reference doesn’t give you the correct reading, we will replace the faulty reagent free of charge. If the difference in pH reading between the Seachem kit and other kits is small this is mainly due to a difference in the manner in which our kit determines the pH; the result is a more valid pH reading from our kit because our compensates for the high ionic strength of saltwater. If you are using a pH probe, be sure it is correctly calibrated. Even if it is, pH meters can sometimes be affected by the high ionic strength of saltwater tanks.
