My baby sitter and her Mom have a 10 gallon tank with 3 large golfish that needs a little help.

What do these products do that Prime does not?

Our tap water has plenty of Calcium and Magnesium.

KH is about 3 dH GH is about 17 dH.

Prime, a decent filter for goldfish, a couple goldfish proof plants and regular water changes is all it should need, correct?

The care takers are very much beginners and have no access to the internet.

I want to make it as easy for them as possible.

Thanks.

Gold Basics is designed to set the pH at 7.0 and remove chlorine, chloramine, ammonia from the water.

Gold Salt will increase the hardness of the water by adding mineral content. It will slightly raise salinity.

Gold Trace adds trace elements back into the water for goldfish. Trace elements are quickly used, precipitated, or oxidized and need to be replaced.

Gold Buffer is a non phosphate based buffer. It will add alkalinity and some hardness to the water. Gold Buffer allows one to adjust the pH from 7.2-7.8
