Is it possible to add paraguard into a nano reef when introducing a new fish as a preventative measure against diseases?

I know I have to take out the chemical filtration but will how long for and will it have any affect on soft corals or live rock?

ParaGuard should not be used with invertebrates in a system. It is great as a preventative measure, but we do not recommend use with inverts. You have the option of setting up a QT system. Everyone has their own opinion on how long to use medication as a prophylactic, but 2 weeks should be the minimum. ParaGuard should be dosed daily.
