I have an Nano Reef Tank with Bladegrass and Caulerpa which are starting to do well in my Nano Reef Tank. I have a sugar sand bed with 4" of Seachem Meridian and Seachem Graycoast to support a planted reef tank.

It is a 20 Gallon Tall tank which after substrate and live rock contains 13 gallons (for all dosing purposes 10 gallons) of water.
I use Seachem Reef Salt.

I have all soft corals and no hard corals.
I use Seachem Reef Buffer at 1/4 tsp and put into 1 cup of freshwater, mix and then add to tank to take care of pH. I measure to make sure the Alk does not exceed 6 meq/L. I use 3 different test kits to keep track of the pH because the colors on some of the test kits are hard to differentiate what the #'s are.

I got over enthusiastic with how well things were going and dosed my trusty Seachem Plant Supplements.

I put in 1 capful (5 ml) of Seachem Iron, 1 capful (5ml) of Seachem Excel and 1 capful (5ml) of Seachem Flourish.

The next morning I had to remove my 2 chromis and 1 Firefish.

I did a 20% water change and will continue to watch my Peppermint Shrimp and Bladegrass.

Which did it? The Iron or the Excel?

More than likely the response came from the Flourish Iron. Iron is detrimental to salt water fish.

Thank you.

For Marine Planted Nanos (Macroalgae)
should I dose only 1 mL for 10 gallons or only dose 1mL (one dropper) of Seachem Flourish?

I would suggest only dosing 1mL of Flourish and not dosing the iron at all, since it proved to be detrimental. The Flourish itself does contain minimal amounts of iron, so this will be sufficient without being overdosed.
