I've been using Seachem Marine Buffer before I discovered the reef version. Still using up my remaining stock of Marine Buffer for now. When mixing this product with RO/DI to dose, I'm always left with some clear undissolved solids at the bottom of the mixing cup. No matter how long I mix it still doesn't dissolve unless I try to pulverize it. Even then, it's just smaller sized crystals. Is this normal? If so, should the leftover solids be dosed along with the solution? I found that when dosing the remaining solids into the sump, it gets carried into the display tank and settles unto the livestock. I'm afraid it will burn the corals. Is it borate? Please advise.

Occasionally from batch to batch you will see these particles, but it is nothing to be concerned about and completely normal. It would not be all that beneficial to add them to your tank, so if it possible to decant them it will be fine. Thank you very much for posting and have a great day!
