Marine Basic tests are not working (expired?)

Just received Marine Basic tests by mail order. Tried, but all tests that have reference solutions, are not working (except pH). I guess, they could expire, because in test box was included invitation to participate in photo-contest that ends in 2002. No expiration date was found on the box.
Could you consider to put expiration date on the boxes in future, so people could ask seller for replacement, not just lose the money with no hope that next purchased kit will be in working condition?

We do not put an expiration date on the box because the reagents can expire before the date in certain conditions. If the kit was exposed to extreme cold or heat, or if the powdered reagents absorb moisture the reagents could go bad. If this occurred you would believe that the test kit is still functioning properly because it is not expired. This is why we provide the reference sample so that you can validate your kit and know that it works. I will PM you with further information.
