No; Discus Trace will not soften your water. However, Discus Buffer will soften your water.

I'm aware of that... But it contains phosphate. Is there any other product that soften water?

Unfortunately, outside of Neutral Regulator (another phosphate-based buffer), we do not have a product that will solely serve to soften water. For this purpose, you may want to try a pillow softener.
