Photosynthetic Intermediates

Hi everyone! I would be glad to know that is peroxy compounds such as hydrogen peroxide can act as PHOTOSYNTHETIC INTERMEDIATES like Seachem Flourish Excel?

Re: Photosynthetic Intermediates

Hello Mithril,

Thank you for your questions regarding the compounds within Flourish Excel that mimic photosynthetic intermediates.

Hydrogen peroxide, H2O2, would not work in the same manner as the active ingredients in Flourish Excel, as it does not even contain carbon.

Furthermore, peroxy compounds are generally classified as biocides, and this is not something that we would recommend applying to an aquarium environment.

We hope this information has been helpful and that you have a nice day!
