Purigen
If Seachem wanted to assure aquarists that Purigen is safe to use with product X, so that more people will use Purigen making Seachem lots of $; it should release a list of products that you should not use with Purigen and a list of products that you can use with Purigen. Why leave the consumer in the dark, with lame answers like - "Regenerate Purigen? Duh we don't know what is or isn't safe with our product Purigen, just so it doesn't have any amine based polymer in it then it is okay, we think, um yeah? Err use Prime, yeah we make that, it is safe." Well lots of us use several other water treatments and medications and we really need to know what we can and can't do with Purigen, so we don't go and destroy its properties. I am not asking Seachem to make a list that is absolutely accurate, since other product formulas can change - so Seachem should state to the best of their knowledge that product X is or isn't compatible with Purigen. We are hobbyists, not chemists, it is the responsibility of Seachem to tell their end-users what products are good or not good to use with Purigen. Providing this information will only boost sales of Purigen, so why Seachem would play dumb is really odd when it is they that have the most to gain by providing such information.
