Seachem prime questions.

Hi, is it advisable to dose both seachem prime and aquarium salt to treat, say a pail of tap water? WIll be it be counterproductive to the fish? After dosing with seachem prime, can the just treated tap water be used immediately or need to age it for 24hrs first?

thnks!

Re: Seachem prime questions.

After dosing with Prime, there is no need to age the tap water. It can be used immediately after dosing. You can use salt in your tap water along with the Prime to help eliminate any pathogens from the water if you feel it is necessary. If you are using the salt to prevent gill burn, Prime will detoxify nitrites for up to 48 hours so it is not necessary to add the salt if you are using Prime . As long as your biological filter is established, the bacteria should be sufficient enough to connvert the nitrites before the 48 hours is up.
