medication

One of my Yellow Guppies seems to be ill. what i see at the bottom of his rear big fins is clumping at the bottom which is orange, almost redish. i checked your articles on diseases and the only thing that comes close to what i see is that the guppy has Bacterial, Hemmohragic, Septicemia. i do have paraguard and kanaplex. could i use these. right now my filter has a sponge, matrix carbon and purigen. would i need to remove the carbon and pur to medicate. as well as during medication, should i add stabilit as well?

Re: medication

While medicating it is best to remove all chemical filtration. So remove the Carbon and Purigen. I would dose the aquarium daily with ParaGuard and if the Guppy is eating mix some KanaPlex into his food. You can use 1 scoop of Focus to help bind 1 scoop of KanaPlex to the food. I like to add a little bit of GarlicGuard to soak the food in.

Re: medication

It would be beneficial to dose Stability daily when medicating, but not required. Either way be sure to keep an eye on your ammonia and nitrite levels.
