Has Prime been diluted?

I just got myself a new bottle of Prime (325ml) after finishing my old one (250ml).

I was interested to note that the old bottle quoted that 5ml of Prime gets rid of 0.6mg/l of ammonia, 3mg/l of Chloramine and 4mg/l of chlorine in 200L

Whilst your new bottle says 5ml 0.8mg/l of ammonia, 1.2mg/L of chloramine and 3.3 mg/L of chlorine in 200L.

Both bottles claim to treat the same ratio of Prime to US Gallons, that is 0.1
250ml treats 2500 USG and 325mL treats 3250 USG.

Now that's an interesting difference, especially the chloramine, and yet you state on the bottle that the ratio is the same. So something doesn't add up! :-)

Care to say what you've done to Prime? Have you diluted it?

Re: Has Prime been diluted?

Nothing has changed with Prime. About two years ago we were working on a product for the aquavitro line, Alpha, and in the process of trying to determine how to make it better than Prime, we decided to do some very careful lab work to benchmark where we were with Prime.

The measurements we made while working on Alpha were more accurate than any we had made before, and the result is what you now see on the Prime label. We try to keep the labels accurate, and to that end change them when we uncover new information.
