Re: Neoplex and Kanaplex

Thanks for the post! We do not recommend mixing medications to avoid any negative reactions to occur. Hope this helps!

Re: Neoplex and Kanaplex

What type of tank do you have? Fresh or saltwater? Is it fish-only? This will help us to give you the best recommendation. Thanks!

Re: Neoplex and Kanaplex

Thank you for getting back to us with that information! Hopefully, you will not need it, but better to be sure, right? Because you have some live plants in your tank, I would probably recommend going with the Kanaplex in the event of a bacterial or fungal infection. (Unfortunately, no medication is really considered 100% safe for live plants.) Therefore, I would suggest blending the medication with some Focus (a binding agent) and then mixing this in with the food. This will help to minimize the amount of medication in the water column, so as not to potentially harm your plants. You can also add some GarlicGuard or a comparable appetite stimulant to entice your fish to take the food in more readily.

We hope this has been helpful and that you will not have any issues. If you would like to read more information about any of the products mentioned here, please see the following links:
