Reef Trace and Reef Plus

Hi i use the above two products in my tank and dose these twice a week. I have a 900 litre tank and basically dose 40 ml of each twice a week.

i was considering setting up an automatic dosing unit for these two elements and i am asking if you can mix them into the one container and then dose from this container or do they need to be seperated.

I know the Reef Plus needs to be refridgerated is this really necessary?

Re: Reef Trace and Reef Plus

We generally do not recommend mixing products for dosing in such a manner. They are designed to be used separately and you may lose effectiveness or see negative results if you do mix them. It is best to refrigerate Reef Plus because it contains organics. Again, this is to ensure that the product functions properly.

Re: Reef Trace and Reef Plus

Thanks for the reply, just a clarification as i am a little confused, should i still dose both of these products to my tank or only one of them. As currently i dose both these products to my tank seperately but on the same day about 5 min apart and do it twice a week.

Re: Reef Trace and Reef Plus

We typically recommend dosing these two products separately. Both products contain many of the same ingredients, except that the Reef Plus contains extra organics (vitamins and amino acids) that Reef Trace does not contain. Therefore, dosing on alternating days is a better way of going about it.
