reef strontium

Hello, I test Sr using the seachem strontium test kit, after discussing with seachem the details on how to use this kit, I find that the solution in the final step is very pale blue right from the start before I start the titration. Then, it may become very slightly bluer after a few drops, but it almost looks the same, even if I use all the 1ml titration liquid, the pale blue is basically the same from start to finish. I am assuming that my Sr is either 0ppm or very low 0-5ppm. Is this a correct assumption? thanks

Re: reef strontium

Thank you for your question, jas!

If the solution is blue before performing the titration, then you can assume that there is zero strontium present in your water. You could always run the reference sample to ensure that the test providing an accurate reading.

Please let us know if we can help further.
