how long does it take Prime to work?

Hi,

As I'm setting up a planted Discus tank here in the UK I would like to ask how long it takes for Prime to "fix" my new water which I have in a 5gallon container ready to go back in the tank.

I am keen that no chlorine or simialr nasty gets into the tank and reaches the bilogial filter medium.

When I do a water change should I dose with Prime for whole tank or just the amount of new water going in?

Should I add my Flourish and Excel some time after the new water has been introduced into the tank?

It is a new 55gal tank with fine gravel andLaterite as the base, 80w of light with reflectors.

Chris

Prime works instantly to bind chlorine and other components that you do not want in your tank. Prime should be dosed for the amount of change water changing. Flourish and Flourish Excel can be added to the tank after a water change and should be dosed for the entire tank volume to replace any nutrients that have been utilized by the plants.
