will flourish excel harm my Cladophora aegagropila?

Hi am planning on adding a morimo ball or algae ball to my planted tank. I've heard that excel can kill algae, will it also affect Cladophora aegagropila?

Flourish Excel is not marketed as an algaecide. It is a carbon source for plants to utilize to grow well and absorb nutrients and out competing lower forms of algae. If you have any concerns start at a half dose and see how they respond. You can slowly work up to the recommended dose if the algae you are growing does well.
