de-nitrate usage

I am currently using A Koralin Biodenitrator which uses sulphur as a medium and has a very slow flow rate. Would your De-Nitrate, in your opinion, be a better medium in this reactor. As I am a little concerned about the use of sulphur. My tank is a F/W planted tank with large fish Oscar, Pleco etc

Re: de-nitrate usage

I apologize for the delayed response. If you are concerned about sulfur then De*nitrate would be a good option. As long as you can maintain a low flow of 50 gph, De*nitrate will work well. With the correct flow rate the porous nature of De*nitrate will support bacteria to also help control ammonia/nitrite as well as efficiently control nitrate.
